Requirements to get a Kuda card

To request a card from Kuda you should be a kuda customer with an active Kuda bank account, as well as have credited your account with at least N1,000.

If you do not have a Kuda account, kindly head over to Google or Apple store to download and install the Kuda app, and sign up for an account.

How to get a Kuda card in Nigeria

To apply for and receive a card you should have an existing Kuda account with at least an N1,000 operational balance.

Step one: Sign in to your Kuda bank account via the mobile app

Step two: Tap on “Card” at the tale end of your dashboard

Step three: Select “Request a card.”

Step four: Select either a virtual or physical card, in this case, you will need to select a physical card.

Step five: Fill in your delivery address where you want Kuda to send your card, or you can pick it up free of charge at a Kuda pick-up location near you.

You should expect your card to arrive about two weeks after your application.

How to activate Kuda debit card?

Having received your card the next thing you may have to do is to activate the card and start using it for your transactions.

Kindly follow the below guidelines to activate your card;

  • Open your Kuda app
  • Log in with your username and password
  • Tap on cards
  • Select “Activate card,” type in the number of your card in the column required and click on the “Next” button.  
  • Your card will be activated and you can start using it to consummate your transactions.

 How long does it take to get Kuda card?

Having completed your card application and received an application successful message, your card should arrive/be ready within the next 14 days of such application.

Can I use a Kuda card for online payment?

Your virtual card is for making naira payments everywhere naira Visa cards are accepted online

 Kindly understand that Kuda bank offers two types of cards; virtual and physical cards. However, these two are payment cards, though have a slight difference in their functionality.

Kuda virtual card is used for online payment and can be accessed through your Kuda account while the physical card is used for offline payments only.

For a single POS payment completed with your card, there’s an N500k limit, as well as withdraw a maximum of N30k at once. Kuda neither charges a fee for using its cards nor a maintenance fee for the card like traditional banks in Nigeria.

How to block a Kuda card

In case you suspect unauthorized access to your account, you can block your account following the below guideline;

  • Open your Kuda app
  • Tap on the card at the bottom of your dashboard slide
  • Tap and toggle the “Block card.”
  • Your card/account is been blocked.
